What is "OKRHA"?
OKRHA is a local affiliate of the National Reining Horse Association formed to serve the needs of reining horse enthusiasts in the Oklahoma region. Formed in August 2002, we are over 150 members strong and host one of the largest reining horse competitions in the world, the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic. Click here to see the OKRHA timeline!

What Does OKRHA Do?
We put on horse shows, play days and clinics to provide our members with opportunities to compete, improve their skills, meet new people and have fun!

I’m Just a Beginner!
So are lots of our members! That’s why we have classes called "Green as Grass Rider" and "Rookie". Are you a horse trainer that has never shown in NRHA competitions? Give the Limited Open class a try. We are all striving to be better – at many different levels.

How Do I Start?
Contact the National Reining Horse Association at 405-946-7400 or www.NRHA.com to learn about what you need to compete. The NRHA’s Reining 101 Guide is a great source of information. Click here to get a list of trainers who are OKRHA members.

Volunteering
Would you mind being a scribe? Working in the office? Running the back gate? Running paid warm ups? OKRHA and its events are only as good as its volunteers. We need help all the time to do all kinds of different things. Don’t forget that OKRHA members need to do ½ day of service (i.e. scribe, office, back gate, stall check in, banner hanging, etc.) at one of the shows to be eligible to for year end awards. Contact Tami Wagman (918) 857-2725 or Carole Hoffman at 918- 688-5124 to volunteer. Thanks for your help!
